It's another hot day here and I'm not in the mood to cook. Plus Dean told me we can go to Chili's tonight so whooohooo for us!!!

LETTUCE WRAPS
Delicious grilled Asian-spiced chicken with carrots, water chestnuts, cilantro, crispy rice noodles and toasted almonds. Served with fresh Bibb lettuce and sesame-ginger and peanut sauces for dipping.

I'm not too hungry I just want something light and something that is good! I would like to have a drink too but we will have the kids and Leilani gets really upset if I have a drink.... so there goes that Long Island for me... Sad!

Rice?!?

Okay, I have to admit when gas gets higher and higher everyday I get really pissed now I'm just hurt that there is a shortage on rice?!?!?!?!

I went to the commissary today to grocery shop and I needed rice and there was a sign talking about the rice shortage! What the heck!

I know I may only be half pinay but come on I still need my rice AT LEAST every other day!

I'm very disappointed!!

Needless to say I grabbed my little bag of rice and continued on shopping...

Going organic? Or have been? I've done some of the baby food when my kids were little. And we do buy organic peanut butter which my kids and Dean love!

I wish I could go totally organic but it's pricey but so worth it! I told Dean when he makes rank and I go back to work we are doing nothing but organic!

Yesterday, I ran over to Target to get face powder cause I can't really do the foundation stuff especially in the summer.... anywho I saw some that was organic and I grabbed it! It comes in a cute little container... Yes it was a little more then the rest of them but it had a 2.00 coupon with it so I was all for it. I came home tried it and I love it! It goes on so much better then the others I've tried and to know its organic is even a bigger plus!

I think that ever since I saw that episode of Jon & Kate plus 8 when they had Sara Snow on there I just wanted to go more organic!!

What is wrong with some people???

A friend of mine showed me this and I was really peeved when I saw this... How could anyone do this to a child a 5 year old at that who is just in Kindergarten!!

A.B. is in the process of being tested for Asperger's Syndrome, a form of Autism Spectrum Disorder. Whether this child has a disability or not, NO CHILD should be humiliated in such a fashion. Sunday the 25th of May!!

The 25th of May is the day Dean and I had our church wedding... So we consider it to be our other Anniversary....

On Sunday, Dean and "PaPa" (as the kids say) went to go for a run in the trails while the kids, my mom, and I went to the PX. Well, my mom and I figured they would be back at the house so we picked up some good yummy bagels from Einstein Bros Bagels... YUM!! And we brought them home... Well what do ya know no one was home....

They finally get back from their run and I notice Dean being a lil odd... He went to the shower and turned it on but yet came back out with his shirt off walking around kinda following me... I just kept thinking in my head go take a shower! LOL....

Well, he goes in the shower and my parents and I are in the kitchen talking and the home phone rings... it's his coworker so I walk over to the bathroom to see if Dean wants it or what... He opens the shower and says did you get my text message I sent you?........

Well to make a long story short I go back in the kitchen to look for my cell and behind it is a card that he got me. It was the most beautiful card and text message!! Even after all these years he still knows how to make me blush and make my heart skip a beat!!

My phone was suppose to beep when I got the text so I would see the card but I ruined it since it was on vibrate :(

We went over to Starbucks and let the kids play at the park... It was HOT out!!!

We came home and we all took a good hour long nap. The heat just took all the energy out of us all....

We get up and off to the Chinese Resturant... (My moms choice) What can I say I was wanting all you can eat king crab legs too!! LOL

Getting back home was the funny part!! We took one car and me and my mom rode in the very back of the car/trunk haha. This is what happens when you stick us in the back....

Then a cop was behind us so we ducked haha..

Dean and I wanted to get some more alone time together...We really took advantage of my parents being here!! We went on a bike ride last night and I really like going at night... I was all bikered out too LOL... I had some holes in my jeans and a cute top on with some tim's on hahaha...

We drove down to the "river" (can't you tell we live in the damn country!! RIVER not beach or Ocean... RIVER!!!) And we went for a walk it was nice to get out and walk and talk. I wish we were able to do stuff like that more often. But it's hard cause I'm really weird when it comes to people watching my kids... I'm way over protected and don't trust a lot of people. So, when my parents come over or we go there it's nice cause we can go out as a couple.

I wish this weekend never ended....

The hubby and I got to celebrate our 7 year anniversary and let me tell you it was GREAT getting to spend one on one time with the love of my life!!!

Saturday we went over to the cave and trails and walked it with the kids and my parents that was a trip I tell ya! AJ wanted my mom who is 5 foot tall to carry him the whole way... Let me remind you all AJ is not light! LOL... The crazy thing is my mom held him most of the time!! That was a 2 mile walk we did!!

When we got back home Dean asked if I wanted to go on the motorcycle since I wanted to get my haircut I said why not... So we went on the motorcycle and let me tell you when I first rode it 2 years ago I hated it... Now I LOVE it!!!!

Here is my new hair... minus the color... I'll be doing that tomorrow...Don't mind the messiness of it... I just flipped it with my hands really quick

When we got back my mom BBQ'd and that was YUM!! She made a ranch chicken on the grill and hot dogs for the kids.... I made baked beans and fries to go on the side... with a couple cocktails for the parents :)

Dean and I got ready to go out and let me tell you... We went to Nashville and we were going to go to Hard Rock Cafe.... Which was cool and all but the minute we got downtown I was like uhhhhh check out all these cowboys hahaha... Too much country music for Dean... So we ended up going to Dave & Busters!! LOVE THAT PLACE!!!

We ordered chips and dip since we already ate... and drinks... Yeah enough to make me drunk hahaha....

First drink:

Mango Berry- Run with the bulls with our blend of Malibu Mango rum, orange juice, Red Bull and strawberry mix.

Second drink:

(Long Island's are my favorite!!! But I love it with Cherry Coke... So I had asked for Cherry Coke but they only do that cherry grenadine stuff so I had opted for that... They just gave me that minus the coke and let me tell you that was some strong stuff!!!)

TNTea- Pure dynamite! We blend ABSOLUT vodka, Tanqueray gin and Bacardi rum, then add Grand Marnier, sweet-n-sour and Coca-Cola®, served in a souvenir glass that's yours to keep.

Third Drink:

The Shizzle- Not one, but two flavors of rum ~ Malibu Coconut and Malibu Pineapple ~ in the mix with smooth Stoli Vanil and pineapple juice.

Mind you, after the 1st drink I was already buzzing.... I'm a cheap date my hubby likes it that way haha. We had a blast! We really needed that getaway. It reminded me of when we were dating way back when... Oh I love my husband!!

Haircut or no haircut is the question!!

So I'm sick and tired of my hair since its short and like a trendy cut I have to keep it cut short if not it grows out and looks horrible which is right now!!! errr I really want my long hair back! I even asked Dean if I could get extensions LOL. He said go for it.... But do I really wanna spend all that money when I could grow my hair out free haha... I even looked into the Jessica Simpson/ Ken Paves hair clip ons...

Oh I just don't know what to do...

Okay I think I've convinced myself to just grow it out... LOL I'm just gonna go in and get highlights no cut or trim and call it a day! LOL

Yesterday...

We had went out to lunch with the kids and went to Nashville... What a lunch!

So we are all eating and enjoying the food talking about memories of our marriage since it was our anniversary.... Well in the middle of the table the waiter brings our a plate of some veggies and peppers... so we could add to our dish....

Sitting across from me is AJ and all the sudden he looks up rubbing his mouth saying hot... look down and he just ate a damn HOT ass pepper! We were giving him water to flush it down... NOTHING! So Dean gets up takes him to the bathroom to wash his hands and mouth only for AJ to rub his dang eyes!! OUCH!! My poor baby all Leilani and I could hear was him screaming I stopped eating from then on I just wanted to get the hell outta that place and go to the hospital!

Dean had took AJ to the car and AJ was so ready to leave but Leilani and I were still in the restaurant and I didn't have my debit card on me so we could pay and get the hell out.... So finally when they came back.... the waiter comes back with some kind of jello. AJ was gaging on it so that was that... then I take him to the bathroom to wash his poor red face to get all that pepper shit out! UGH!!

And I see a dish full of candy and lollipops so I grabbed a hand full and he started eating that lollipop and it made everything so much better. I think we made him eat about 10 candies with so many glasses of water. Then we were off to get ice cream!!

Thank GOD he knows how to control his potty and poop cause man he drank a ton of water!! So when I took him to the potty it was like a 20 min trip haha. YAY for no diapers!!!

That was suppose to be a good happy day for me but man with that drama who could really enjoy it??

Dean and I will be celebrating this coming weekend without kids!!! whoohoo! Thanks to my parents who will be coming down!! :)

Our Wedding Story

Seven years ago today, Dean and I got married!

Seems like yesterday...

Dean, my sister Sabrina, my mom and I were in the kitchen and Dean had looked up and was ready to ask my mom for permission to marry me... when my sister blurts out to my mom they are already married... my mom looked at me like you probably are...
I had told Dean earlier lets not tell anyone but just have our best friends there and then when Dean got back from his year tour in Korea then we would tell people... Dean totally disagreed. He looks up at my mom and asks for her permission she basically told him as long as you take good care of my daughter which I know you will you have my permission. There is no one else I would pick for my daughter to marry then you.

Tiffany, my best friend flew all the way to Washington. It was her first time ever getting on a plane.. Thank you Tiff for being apart of our special day!! We love you!

We took Tiffany out the week she was with us and had a blast....

Our wedding day came around. (As most of you know Dean and I had a courthouse wedding and a big catholic church wedding a year later) Anywho, So we are all getting ready to go down to the courthouse... I was nervous as hell but anxious... We get there and the judge asks us to sign the marriage certificate and I screw up signing my own freaking name!! The name I had for 18 years I just now forgot how to spell it! Dean just signed his name perfectly and here I signed my name like I didn't know how to spell it! LOL

We have our little ceremony and my parents take us all out to lunch ... as we were walking back to the car from the restaurant my parents go looks like this will be the first time they sleep together but at least they now have our permission hahaha! RIGHT! Like we really needed that! haha

That night was the most happiest and saddest night of my like... I was now a married woman to the best guy I know but my husband was about to leave in 16 hours to Korea for a full year! But at least we knew no matter what we would have each other.

Close or apart we were still together at heart!

Our big wedding was May 25,2002... AND YOUR DAMN RIGHT WE CELEBRATE THAT ONE TOO!!

Shoot, a couple can't celebrate enough how much love has grown for one another.

So far today I woke up and had my hubby singing in my ear....

Tomorrow is.....

Our 7th year anniversary!!! I still can't get over that it has been 7 years already!

Today is the actual day that we first started out 8 years ago as a couple! I'll never forget the day he walked off the plane. It was a special, hilarious moment! So, here it goes.....

8 years ago today, Dean got a flight out to Seattle-Tacoma International Airport... Seeing he was stationed at Ft.Lewis it was his first time ever coming to Seattle and I was there to greet him... His flight had arrived around 11pm. It was a Wednesday night and the FINAL episode of 90210 was on... Since it was about an hour drive (with traffic) to the airport from where I lived I left early and had missed it! errr luckily I taped that episode... But Dean is worth it! I had told my mom I was going with a friend to pick up Dean... I lied... I went all by myself!!! It was far and it was a school night and my mom was preggo with my little sister... So I knew if I told her the truth there was no way in hell she would have let me gone by myself!

So, I get to the airport nervous as hell! Back then you could meet your people at the gate... I sat in a seat where I would be the first person he saw when he got off the plane... but got so nervous I hide... He found me! He was so HOT!

I do have to explain this really quick... back in the day I was taller then Dean (he will never admit it) but I hit puberty first LOL.

When he walked over to me I was sitting down and I kept saying in my head OH SHIT I'M STILL TALLER THEN HIM!! I refused to walk next to him I either walked in front of him or behind him the whole way to baggage claim... well we get down to the car and he pulls me to him and says I know I didn't come all this way to not get a kiss. I then realized oh shit i'm worried for nothing he is mad taller then me! LOL he is 5'7 (on a good day) and I'm 5'2.... We kissed and the rest is history!!

Oh and he left my moms huge ass cell phone in the parking garage hahaha... Luckily he was able to get it the next day.

Oh wait... so we get in my car and he wants to drive I'm like ugh... you don't know where your going... that's when I found out my hubby is a total map nerd! He got us to my parents house without even asking me which way... and member GPS wasn't out like it is today back then LOL....

Tomorrow I'll have to tell you the story of our wedding day! :)

IRS Makes Mistake in Tax Rebate Checks

WASHINGTON (AP) - Up to 350,000 households aren't getting the $300 per child owed them as part of their economic stimulus rebate payments, the Internal Revenue Service said Thursday.
The tax agency says taxpayer human error and computer glitches were responsible for the problem affecting a tiny percentage of the 130 million taxpayers expected to benefit from the refunds the government began sending out last month.
IRS spokesman Terry Lemons said the agency was confident it had identified all the people affected by the mistake. He said the IRS will send letters to those who missed out on the refund and that checks for the child credit will be mailed out in July. People need not contact the IRS or file additional paperwork, he said.
The rebates, the centerpiece of the government's $168 billion plan to revive the faltering economy, provide up to $600 for an individual and $1,200 for married couples, based on income levels. In addition, people are entitled to $300 for eligible children younger than 17.
He said the problem on the child payments was traced to taxpayers failing to check a box on their paper tax returns and to two computer software systems, less than 1 percent of those in use, that weren't capturing the information needed to trigger the payment.
The IRS has already refunded some $27 billion to about 30 million taxpayers. It expects to hit 130 million refunds by the end of June, with the last checks - except for those who requested extensions in filing their returns and a few other exceptions - going out in July.

What to do....

There is nothing to do here! I'm telling you moving from a big city like Seattle to a country hick town like this is the worst! I'm so sick of being here! I think we all are. We always have no place to go on the weekends unless "its for a drive" which is nice cause its family time and all but still. UGH I just really wanna get the hell outta here! I know this is the ARMY life and I just have to deal with it where ever he goes I go.... But sheesh I wish we could have gotten a better place then hell!! Seriously!

We still don't really know what we are going to do for our Anniversary! If we were in Washington, Dean probably would have set up something nice and sweet for us to do. But being here there is really nothing to do unless you love country music... It's fine by me but not Dean. And we aren't the club goers. So really it's a lose lose situation being out here.... The only thing I love about being here is our house we bought other then that forget it. I can always find another house somewhere else LOL.

I think I'm just really having one of those days where I'm sick and tired of being in HELL!
